Who is
Fat Fingers?
Allen Brown
Certified audio engineer

Co-founder of RocBattle
The music
Before the websites, there was the studio. From 1993 to 1996 Allen ran Sounds of Phatnis, his production company, out of a recording studio in the back of his barbershop in Queens, New York. Local artists came through to record, and he produced and made music for many of them.
In 1994 he became a certified audio engineer, graduating from ARTI, the Audio Recording Technology Institute in Smithtown, Long Island. The studio put him in rooms with people across the music industry, and he got to submit beats and sit in on sessions.
He was studying Rockwilder's records long before they ever met. To him it was a unique sound and a unique style, and he believes Rockwilder came in and changed the game sonically.
The internet
Allen started in internet marketing in 2001, learning the business of the web and building websites and platforms. In April 2004 a chance encounter connected him with Rockwilder, and it turned that interest in IT and software development into a mission.
The two built RocBeats.com together. When producers online started saying the major producers were stealing their shine, and that Rockwilder was garbage, Rock said he would battle all of them. Fat Fingers registered RocBattle.com that night. Read the full story →
In 2008 he launched SellMoreBeats.com, a course of 80 training videos teaching producers how to find buyers and make thousands of dollars from their beats. In May 2011 he launched BeatWebsites.com, one of the first ready-made website platforms built for producers. With a beat store, PayPal checkout and instant delivery, producers could sell their own beats, keep 100% of the profits, and get their own websites up fast. Producers around the world ran their stores on it for more than a decade.
The entrepreneur
Allen has been in business since he was 12 years old, starting as a teenage barber and working his way to businesses, online income and real estate.
For close to 30 years he has mentored people and taught them how to succeed in business. That includes producers, but also founders, companies and brands he has consulted with.
The people and businesses he has helped have generated close to $10 million.
Rockwilder brought the challenge. Fat Fingers brought the technology.
