We have always considered the best ways to grow our community and accommodate our members and visitors to offer as many benefits as possible. This is still our mission to this day. However unfortunately, we have to make the decisions that may not always be popular, but lend to the continued success of this website and the community of members who have benefited greatly from its services. With this being said, effective March 15th, 2012 we will no longer support our Basic Membership beat stores & battles.

We have come to a decision to let the Basic membership beat stores & battles go for a number of reasons. For one, membership at the Basic level has created problems that have made it difficult to run successful Basic beat battles. These issue include but are not limited to: multiple accounts, cheating, beat stealing, self voting, etc. We look to remove these issues completely by cancelling the basic beat battle arena. The second issue is disk space. Over the years we have offered basic members limited free services. However, we can no longer continue to provide the space and manage that many users where we can operate as a business and not take a loss. There are over 20,000 basic members which all have beats in their profiles and beats that they battle. The expense in storing these files and providing free bandwidth will sooner than later, tie our services down. This of course is not good for our Exclusive Members who pay to have a quality service. We also wish to increase the quality of our support by providing our Exclusive Members with all our support efforts.

Here is what will happen on March 15th 2012:

For one, If you are an Exclusive Member of RocBattle.com, the following will not effect you. However, if you are a Basic Member and you opt out of upgrading your account, then the following pertains to you.

1. Beat Deletion - On March 15th, we will be deleting all beats that are connected to a basic profile on Rocbattle.

2. Basic Battle Arena Deletion - This arena will be disabled and no longer available for battling. The only battling allowed will be for Exclusive Members

We would like to thank all Basic Members for participating on RocBattle.com and we look forward to supporting you in our new Exclusive Member focused efforts.

Will my Basic Membership account be deleted?
No your account will still be active.

What kind of things can I do in the new Basic Membership?
Basic Members will be able to continue using Forums, Private Messaging, IM and Purchasing Beats.

What if I have less than $20 in my Sales balance? How do I get a payout?
You can upgrade to the Exclusive Membership, in fact we even have a tool that lets you purchase it with your Sales balance.

How do I keep my beats?
You can edit them to have a Free price and download them for archiving - or - you can upgrade to the Exclusive Membership.
